| Biography |
Dr Lauren Prosser is an Honorary Fellow with the McCaughey Centre: VicHealth Centre for the Promotion of Mental Health and Community Wellbeing.
She is the Research and Evaluation Manager of the Kids ¿ ¿Go for your life¿ program, focusing on reducing obesity levels in children (0-12 years). The aim of Kids ¿ ¿Go for your life¿ is to promote supportive environments within children¿s settings (Award Program) that encourage and promote healthy eating and physical activity for children. Lauren is managing the evaluation required to investigate the Award Program. The evaluation hopes to make headway on the evidence base for obesity prevention at a state wide level for children in early child care services, kindergartens and primary school. The evaluation is designed to provide findings on the processes and impact of the program and changes in policy and practices. Lauren works across two locations, with the research team at the McCaughey Centre, University of Melbourne and at the Cancer Council Victoria where she works closely with the Kids ¿ ¿Go for your life¿ manager and team.
